Novice Coach Janak Judd
Janak Judd began his rowing career at Ithaca college from 2017-2021 where he graduated with a B.S. in applied psychology. As a Novice, Janak won his first gold medal as stroke seat at the Philadelphia Frostbite Regatta in the NM8. After his sophomore year, Janak began racing as a coxswain as well as a rower. Each spring Janak competed at New York states in Saratoga Springs and NIRC’s in Worcester Massachusetts in the grand finals.

Janak studied Applied Psychology at Ithaca, and has now joined the Penn State Crew team in the fall of 2025 as the Novice Coach. He excels in working with new rowers to develop strong technique, and encourages a strong work ethic in the sport of rowing.
